Edinburgh East and Musselburgh is a constituency represented in the Scottish Parliament. Between 1997 and 2005, it was also represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. The whole of the constituency now lies in Edinburgh East, with the exception of Musselburgh which is now in East Lothian.
The constituency covers the eastern portion of Edinburgh, including the wards of Craigmillar , Duddingston , Leith Links , Meadowbank , Milton , Mountcastle , Portobello, and Restalrig . It also covers the five East Lothian wards of neighbouring Musselburgh (Central , East , North , South , West ). It is predominantly urban.
