Edinburgh East is a constituency to be represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. It did not exist between 1997 and 2005, the bulk of it lying in Edinburgh East and Musselburgh.
The constituency covers the eastern portion of Edinburgh, including the wards of Craigmillar , Duddingston , Holyrood, Leith Links , Meadowbank , Milton , Mountcastle , Portobello, Prestonfield , Restalrig , Southside and Tollcross . It is predominantly urban.
