Eastern Mennonite University is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
It was founded in 1917 as a seminary for Mennonite ministers but is today a fully accredited university with 1,400 students. In 1994, it changed its name from Eastern Mennonite College to Eastern Mennonite University, to reflect its graduate business administration and counseling programs.
Its sports teams are known as the Royals. Eatern Mennonite is a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
