Dorsal root ganglion

(Redirected from Dorsal Root Ganglion)

In anatomy and neurology, the dorsal doot ganglion is a nodule on a dorsal root that contains cell bodies of afferent spinal nerve neurons. All of the axons in the dorsal root convey somatosensory information. These neurons bring sensory information into the brain and spinal cord. These neurons are of the unipolar type.
