Dolphin is a DC Comics superheroine.
Dolphin's true name is unknown - even she does not remember it. What is known is that as a child, she fell overboard from a cruise ship she was travelling on. She was rescued by members of an alien race before she could drown, and modified to be able to survive underwater. (A secondary effect of the modifications was to greatly enhance her lifespan.)
Dolphin has stayed mostly on the fringes of the superheroic comunity, although she was a member of the Forgotten Heroes for a while, and fought alongside them during the Crisis on Infinite Earths. At around the time of Zero Hour, she became a companion of Aquaman, and accompanied him on several adventures. The two later became romantically involved, although Dolphin would later dump Aquaman for his protegé, Tempest. Later, the two would marry and have a son, whom they named Cerdian.
