The District of Tiranė (Albanian: Rrethi i Tiranės) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 521,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 1,238 km2. It is in the centre of the country, and its capital is Tirana. Other places in this district include Kamzė and Vorė . The current mayor of Tirana is Edi Rama.
