Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard

Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard is a modern road running from CCP Complex, Pasay City to Marina Subdivision, Paranaque City, both in Metro Manila. It is located in the Reclamation Areas, and is one of the many scenic roads in the Philippines. The boulevard passes through the World Trade Center, Philippine National Bank, Metropolitan Park, Bay Gardens condominium, and Le Pavillon. It is also the way to the Pope John Paul II World Youth Day Chapel, also located in the reclamation areas. Several restaurants line the boulevard, mostly catering to the rich, such as Blue Wave, a cluster of restaurants, Yellow Cab Pizza, and Pizza Hut. It is being extended to the more southern reclamation areas and finally to Cavite province. The boulevard is also hailed recently as the 'gateway to the Philippines', as it was used in the recently held Inter-Parliamentary Union, April 4-8, here in the Philippines. This road has 3 major bridges, crossing the 'channels', of which the largest if the Libertad Channel, were the Libertad Water Pumping Station is situated. Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard is very popular, especially in Manila's elite and foreigners, who trip here during weekends.

The Boulevard is also subject to several criticism, such as the former executives of the Public Estates Authority, officials of the Commission on Audit, and the provate contractor on the boulevard on the alleged overpricing of the 1.1 billion construction of the road, dubbed by the government's critics as the 'road to perdition'.
