Sir David Willcocks (b. 30 December 1919) is an English organist and choral conductor.
He studied at the Royal College of Music and at King's College, Cambridge, where he was organ scholar. His studies at King's were interrupted by war service during which he won the Military Cross. He became organist of Salisbury Cathedral in 1947, moving to Worcester Cathedral in 1950 and back to King's College in 1957. He was conductor of the Bach Choir from 1960 to 1998 and director of the Royal College of Music from 1974 to 1984. He was knighted in 1977. He is particularly known for his choral arrangements of Christmas carols, most of which were originally written for the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at King's or the Bach Choir's Christmas concerts. They are published in the five Carols for Choirs anthologies (1961–1987), edited by Willcocks with Reginald Jacques and John Rutter.
