Dan Castellaneta

Daniel Louis Castellaneta (born September 10, 1958) is an American actor who is most known for providing the voice of Homer Simpson and other characters on the television series The Simpsons and Genie in Disney's Aladdin television series. He was a cast member on The Tracey Ullman Show, where the Simpsons first appeared on television, as well.

He is also the voice of the leading character in the cartoon series Earthworm Jim and the narrator of the movie Super Mario Bros.. He released a comedy CD in 2002. In 2005 he appeared in Arrested Development as a deadpan doctor who misdiagnosed Jason Bateman's character (D'oh).

Castellaneta was born in Chicago, Illinois and was educated at the Oak Park and River Forest High School and upon graduation went on to work at Chicago's The Second City.

In The Simpsons, Castellaneta provides the voices for Homer Simpson, Abraham J. Simpson, Santa's Little Helper, Barney Gumble, Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Joe Quimby, Hans Moleman, Sideshow Mel, Itchy, Kodos, Arnie Pie, Scott Christian and other characters.

He has also played Grandpa on the Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold and the Things on the movie Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat.
