Clumber Park

Clumber Park is a fine landscape, designed by Capability Brown, near Worksop in Nottinghamshire, England. It is owned by the National Trust and open to the public.

Clumber was formerly home to the Dukes of Newcastle. The house itself was demolished in 1938, but many features remain, including an outstanding Gothic Revival Chapel built by the 7th Duke of Newcastle, and walled kitchen garden with glass houses.

Clumber Park is over 1500 hectares (3800 acres) in extent, including woods, open heath and rolling farmland. It contains a superb, 87-acre, serpentine lake, and the longest double avenue of lime trees in Europe. The avenue extends over three miles, and was created by the 5th Duke of Newcastle in the 19th Century.
