Claudia Augusta was the only daughter of the Roman Emperor Nero by his second wife Poppaea Sabina. She was born in Antium on 21 January 64 AD.
Her father honoured her and her mother with the title of Augusta. Nero's joy exceeded. In Claudia's honour gold statues of her were placed in temples, a Circus Games held and the senate prayed for blessings for her and her mother.
She died 4 months later of natural causes. Nero and Poppaea Sabina were in mourning. Claudia was declared as a goddess and had a shrine and for priest for her.
