The Citroën Evasion is a minivan or MPV manufactured from 1994 to 2002. It could seat two to eight people, with removable seats.
The Evasion was the product of a joint venture between the PSA Group (Peugeot-Citroën), and Fiat, the fruit of which are the Sevel Nord vans. The equivalent of the Evasion for the other brands in the deal are the Peugeot 806, Fiat Ulysse and Lancia Zeta , all of which were assembled at the Sevel Nord factory near Valenciennes, France.
The Peugeot and Citroën units shared the diesel engine range, starting at the well known 1,905 cm³ turbodiesel 90 hp XUD engine, then replaced by a 2·2 L upscale version offering 110 hp, and by the 2·0 HDi from 2000. The Fiat Ulysse and Lancia Zeta were equipped with Fiat's JTD diesel engines. All brands offered a common 2·0 L 137 hp petrol engine.
The Citroën Evasion was marketed as the Synergie in the UK and Ireland (right hand drive markets) from 1995 to 2002. It retained the Evasion name in New Zealand.
In 2002, it was replaced by the Citroën C8.
