The Citroën Ami series was launched in 1961 and remained in production until May 1978. Although it was in no way its commercial name, the Ami was often called in France Citroën 3CV (trois chevaux).
The Ami Super was a 4 cylinder variant powered by the engine of the GS and produced between 1973 and 1976.
A small series of prototype coupes, the M35 were also produced in the frame of the development of the Wankel engine by Citroën.
