Cartmel is a village in Cumbria several miles west of Grange-over-Sands. The village is the location of the 12th century Cartmel Priory. It has more recently become known as the "home of sticky toffee pudding ".
The village is served by the nearby Cark and Cartmel railway station on the Furness Line.
