The Cape Griffon or Cape Vulture (Gyps coprotheres) is a majestic species of bird endemic to southern Africa. They nest on cliffs and usually lay one egg per year.


Conservation status: Vulnerable The species is listed as "Vulnerable", the major problems it faces being poisoning, disturbance at breeding colonies and electrocution.
