Burdizzo

Burdizzo is a castration method that uses a large clamp to crush the blood vessels leading into the testicles. Since no incision is made, the method is bloodless and has a lower risk of infection compared with traditional castration. It is primarily used on farm animals. The pampered cows used for Kobe beef are castrated with this method since the low risk of infection is a priority.
