The Barons von Brockdorff in Malta are a descendants of the Hereditary Barons of the Holy Roman Empire. The title is limited to all male descendants, including younger male descendants. The Maltese branch includes those in Sicily and the Germanic branch still exists today. The title was created in the 15th century.
