Bohemund V of Antioch

Bohemund V of Antioch (d. 1251), was ruler of the Principality of Antioch, a crusader state, from 1233 to his death. He was simultaneously Count of Tripoli.

Bohemund V was the son of Bohemund IV of Antioch and Plaisance of Gibelet . Like his father before him, Bohemund had a notorious dislike for the Knights Hospitaller and the neighbouring Kingdom of Armenia, preferring an alliance with the Templar Knights. Peace with Armenia was assured only shortly before his death, with the mediation of Louis IX of France.

In 1225, Bohemund was married to Princess Alice of Jerusalem, Queen Dowager of Cyprus, whom he divorced in 1229. His second marriage was to Luciana of Segni , who gave him his son and successor to the titles of Antioch and Tripoli, Bohemund VI of Antioch.
