Blondi was the name of Adolf Hitler's German Shepherd. It was given to him as a gift by Martin Bormann in 1941. Blondi stayed with Hitler even after his move to the Führerbunker during the fall of Berlin. Blondi died soon before Hitler, killed by a cyanide capsule in order to test its effectiveness.
