Berlin Conference of 1954

The Berlin Conference of 1954 was a meeting attended by the Soviet Union, the United States and other smaller powers in the divided city of Berlin in 1954. The Conference was an early moment of détente following Khrushchev's taking control of the USSR. The conference dealt with the divided nations of the world including Germany, Austria, Korea, and Vietnam. Little progress was made, except with Austria where the Soviets agreed to withdraw from if it were made neutral.
