Belair forms the terminus of the Belair line. Before standard gauge conversion in the 90s, the line ran further into the Adelaide Hills than Belair to the town of Bridgewater. Along with this conversion all stations between Belair and Bridgewater closed, Millswood, Hawthorn, Mile End Goods and Clapham were closed, while Unley Park, Torrens Park, Lynton, Eden Hills, Coromandel, Glenalta, Pinera and Belair each had one platform closed.
