Battlefield: Modern Combat is the forthcoming first-person shooter from Digital Illusions CE, the makers of Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam. It will be released for Xbox and PlayStation 2 sometime in late 2005, making it the first Battlefield game for consoles. An Xbox 2 version has also been announced.
The game is related to its PC counterpart, Battlefield 2. Both games share a similar setting, revolving around a war between the United States, China, and a unified Middle Eastern coalition.
