Arthur J. Finkelstein is considered a highly effective Republican operative. He runs Arthur J. Finkelstein and Associates , a political consulting firm out of New York, which handles most his clients. In the past he has masterminded campaigns for a wide range of Republican and right-wing candidates including former Senator Jesse Helms, former Senator Alfonse D'Amato, Governor George Pataki, and former Isaeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In 1996, Boston Magazine outed Finkelstein in a feature story as a homosexual. In April 2005, Finkelstein announced that he had married his long time partner in his home state of Massachusetts.
