The Appendix or Appendix Quarter is a breed of horse that is a cross between Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses.
Appendix horses generally look more like Thoroughbred than Quarter Horses. Their heads are narrower than Quarter Horses', and their backs are strong. The horse's pasterns are generally longer, but the have good slope to their shoulder. Their hips are not large, but they do have a slope. The mane and tail are finer than a Quarter Horse's.
The breed comes in any color, including pinto.
