Alfredo Catalani (June 19, 1854 - August 7, 1893), was an Italian operatic composer, best known for the works La Wally and Loreley. His works have fallen out of the reportoire, in favor of his more famous countrymen, including Verdi and Puccini
On his passing in 1893, Alfredo Catalani was interred in the Cimitero Monumentale in Milan.
