Adriano Macchietto was a character in a famous Italian fable originating in the 1940s. As the tale goes, Adriano Macchietto would come to the villages spread across Italy and sexually pleasure the women while their husbands were away fighting World War II. When the husbands would return they would be greeted by new children, and when the wives were questioned by their husbands, each would come up with an incredible lie, which the husbands would believe. As it is told, the children of Italy today are all decendants of Adriano Macchietto.
