AMOS or Advanced MOrtar System is a 120 mm automatic twin barrelled (having two barrels), breech loaded
mortar turret. AMOS has been fitted to a wide range of armoured vehicles such as the AMV 8x8, Combat_Vehicle_90 or Combat Boat 90 .
AMOS can fire 26 rounds in 1 minute, and the first 14 rounds can be set to impact on the target at the same time.
AMOS is manufactured and marketed by Swedish/Finnish Patria Hägglunds , a joint venture between Finnish Patria and Swedish Alvis Hägglunds .
Ammunition for AMOS includes the Strix guided round.
