The 61 Drive In is a Drive-in theater that is located about five miles south of Maquoketa, Iowa, United States. It is located off of U.S. Highway 61 and State Highway 136, and can be accessed from highway 61 by taking exit 153.
The 61 Drive In is the only such theater still left in Iowa. The theater is owned by Dennis Voy. The theater is open during the summer months, and usually shows two first run movies.
The theater uses a low power radio transmitter to provide the movie soundtrack. As a result, patrons either use a portable radio, or their vehicle's radio system to listen to the movie.
